Tata Punch EV: Indian automaker Tata Motors is charging ahead with its electrification plans, now opening bookings for its punchy new electric SUV – the Tata Punch EV.
This micro electric SUV marks the debut of Tata’s dedicated EV architecture ACTI.EV and aims to pack a punch in the rapidly growing Indian EV segment. Bookings are open for Rs 21,000 at Tata dealerships and the company website ahead of its launch expected in mid-February, with prices between Rs 12-14 lakhs.
The Punch EV promises to deliver a minimum range of 300km on a single charge, extendable up to 600km, with fast charging capability through DC chargers. It will be available in five trim variants – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ – each adding more features.
Starting with the base Smart variant, the Punch EV gets LED headlamps, multi-mode regen braking and 6 airbags. Move up to Adventure and you add fog lamps, sunroof, cruise control and infotainment. Go for Empowered for more styling and tech like digital instruments and touchscreen. Top-spec Empowered+ brings ventilated seats, surround view camera and more.
With bookings now open, the Punch EV is set to pack a punch and electrify Tata’s lineup alongside the Nexon EV, Tiago EV and Tigor EV. This new ‘electric punch’ is poised to capture the imagination of Indian buyers looking to go electric in style and affordability.
